Rambus Inc. has announced that Integrated Circuit Systems (ICS) Inc. has offered clock generators for Rambus' Yellowstone memory interface that is suitable for high-bandwidth applications in the computing, consumer and networking markets.

The programmable clock generator provides all necessary clock signals to support Yellowstone memory subsystems. It incorporates four differential clock drivers into a single 28-pin TSSOP package that reduces the overall memory subsystem chip count, and allows for smaller PCB area for consumer electronics, networking, and PC graphics systems.

Operating at data rates of 3.2GHz to 6.4GHz, Yellowstone provides up to 100GBps of memory system bandwidth, offering ten times more bandwidth than today's mainstream memory systems.
