Fujitsu PC Corp., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fujitsu Ltd, has selected Broadcom Corp.'s 54g WLAN solutions to be equipped into its LifeBook family of notebook computers. The 54g is Broadcom's implementation of the IEEE 802.11g standard.

Fujitsu now offers 54g WLAN capabilities as low-cost upgrades to its LifeBook N Series notebooks, and other models, including the LifeBook E4000D, LifeBook P5000D, LifeBook S2000 and LifeBook S6000D notebooks.

"Broadcom's 54g products have emerged as premier solutions for 802.11g WLANs, driven by widespread adoption by the industry's leading PC OEMs and WLAN equipment vendors," said Jeff Abramowitz, senior director of marketing for Broadcom's Home and Wireless Networking Business Unit.
