NEC water-cooling module features piezoelectric pump
Keywords:nec? water-cooling module?
NEC Corp. has developed what it claims to be the world's first slim-sized water-cooling module for notebook personal computers that employs a piezoelectric pump driving method. The water-cooling module is developed by integrating the pump and the tank with the aluminum radiation plate that contains the water circulation channel.
Through the design of the radiation plate and the coolant passage configuration below the CPU attached area, a cooling performance of 80W is realized with a 30dB operating noise. With a thickness of 5mm, the product is also hermetical sealed with materials that have little liquid permeability. |
