ISPL acquires semiconductor test and assembly firm

Infiniti Solutions Pte Ltd (ISPL), a Singapore-based provider of semiconductor test and assembly services, has acquired Automated Technology Inc. (ATEC), a semiconductor test and assembly company based in the Philippines.

ATEC operates a 200,000 square-feet facility and provides test and assembly services to a broad range of customers, from fabless IC design companies to blue-chip IDMs and has particularly strong expertise in multi-chip packages and in packages for wireless industry applications. In addition to the acquired facility in the Philippines, Infiniti also operates three prototyping semiconductor facilities in the U.S., two design centers in India, and its headquarters in Singapore.

"ATEC's mass production capability is a perfect supplement to Infiniti's existing semiconductor prototype stage capabilities around the world," said Inderjit Singh, CEO of Infiniti.
