Thales Computers has introduced the PMC-DGX, a multi-featured graphics acceleration PCI Mezzanine Card (PMC) that is suitable for driving SXGA displays in harsh environment console applications, which features 4MB of embedded SDRAM, and supports up to 83MHz of operation.

Featuring a dual independent display capability that can accommodate both legacy analog CRT and DVI compliant digital video input flat-panel displays, the PMC is based on Asiliant Technologies' 69030 HiQVideo Accelerator. It also provides 1,600x1,200 64K color at 60Hz; in Dual View Display mode, it is able to display either the same image on two displays, separate images on each display, or a single image spanning both displays.

The PMC-DGX is available for convection-cooled or conduction-cooled environments. For the convection-cooled SA and RA class boards, connections are via a standard DVI-1 style front-panel connector. The conduction-cooled version of the product is validated featuring CRT connections via the P4 connector.

For existing customers, the PMC-DGX can replace the CPCIGx and GTX8 graphics PMC boards, and is priced at $660.
