Digital Communication Technologies (DCT) is the latest Java player to join the Embedded Microprocessor Benchmark Consortium's (EEMBC) group that has developed the benchmarks for Java J2ME implementations.
The GrinderBench benchmarks developed by the EEMBC Java subcommittee measure the performance of Java implementations in handling such tasks as photo decoding, computation-intensive games, XML parsing, cryptography, object creation, and regular expression analysis. Used together, the various components of the GrinderBench suite broadly exercise the Java API while avoiding the limitations of synthetic benchmarks.
Other participants in the EEMBC Java Subcommittee include representatives of ARM, esmertec, IBM, Intel, Motorola, Sun, Symbian, and Tao Group. |
