W. L. Gore & Associates Inc. has introduced its self-supported Trackless Cable Assemblies that reduce particulation, vibration, size, and weight associated with most cable tracks.

The cables function in a controlled motion without a cable track or energy chain for stroke lengths up to 1.5m and acceleration up to 40m/s?. Offered as complete assemblies, the product also includes a connector termination and mounting clamps for easy "drop-in" installation.

The Trackless Cable Assemblies can operate at the same small bend radii as traditional high flex planar cables, and have surpassed flex life testing of more than 20 million cycles to date.
