Aonix expands reach with tool platform acquisition

Aonix has purchased the PERC platform and development tools from NewMonics Inc., a company specializing in mission-critical network infrastructure and telematics applications. This acquisition will expand Aonix's capabilities as a multi-language supplier of mission-critical embedded software solutions.

The acquisition includes all of NewMonics' software assets and intellectual property rights associated with the PERC platform - a Java offering that provides real-time control that complements the full range of real-time software solutions Aonix is building. Aonix plans to integrate hard real-time support into the PERC family, enabling it to meet the needs of hard real-time and safety-critical systems.

To ensure effective integration of the NewMonics' technology, Aonix has incorporated all NewMonics' employees into its organization.
