NXT audio solutions selected by Synaptics

NXT plc has licensed its flat panel loudspeaker technology, SurfaceSound, to Synaptics Inc. Synaptics develops advanced interface solutions for products as diverse as notebook and desktop computers, mobile computing and communications devices, automotive applications, and security solutions.

Under the agreement, the two companies will work together to integrate NXT's audio technology with Synaptics' capacitive sensing technology to develop a TouchPad with speaker capabilities.
