The model database for SIMPLORER, Ansoft Corp.'s multi-domain system simulation software, includes more than 4,000 predefined models of commercially available components from International Rectifier, Maxwell Technologies, On Semiconductor, Analog Devices, Infineon, and others. Models include MOSFETs, op-amps, diodes, multiplexers, BJTs, rectifiers, ultracapacitors, IGBTs, and JFETs.

The Simplorer SV is a full featured version of the company's commercially distributed Simplorer 6.0 but limited in the size of problems that can be solved. The product is a sophisticated multi-technology simulation package for the design in automotive, aerospace, power electronics, drives, and related areas. It is intended for engineering students studying topics in power electronics, drive technology, electromagnetic actuator and electric machine design, controls, and transportation technology.

Designed to foster and encourage the development of engineering skills throughout the electromechanical systems design community, the Simplorer 6.0 also contains the IEEE industry standard VHDL-AMS, a multi-domain, analog, digital and mixed signal modeling language for the design of various complex technical systems.
