Extreme Networks in Australia is offering the Summit 200 10/100 24 and 48-port Ethernet switches. According to the company, the switches deliver advanced Layer 3 features that extend ExtremeWare Intelligent services right to the edge of the network.

The 24 and 48 port Summit 200 fixed configuration switches are capable of supporting ExtremeWare Layer 2 and advanced Layer 3 features. The Summit 200 delivers a dramatic increase in 10/100 scalability, with every port delivering ExtremeWare Layer 2 and Layer 3 capabilities. This results in a merge of a wide range of security and routing software capacities.

The Summit 200 supports up to 48 ports of RJ-45 copper 10/100 Ethernet and four Gigabit Ethernet ports (two 1000BASE-T RJ-45 copper ports and two fiber - Mini GBIC - gigabit ports).
