Philippines-based PSi Technologies Holdings Inc., a provider of power semiconductor assembly and test services, BayanTrade, a business-to-business e-commerce hub, and Microsoft Philippines, have announced the implementation of RosettaNet e-business standards in PSi Technologies' e-business infrastructure.

RosettaNet promotes a common e-business "language" meant to align business processes along entire supply chains and facilitate seamless information exchange among cross-country trade partners. The project is a first for the RosettaNet Philippines consortium in which BayanTrade and Microsoft Philippines are co-founders.

According to Arthur Young, Jr., chairman & CEO of PSi, "The decision to adopt RosettaNet was driven by the company's desire to provide better service to our global customers and build a stronger, collaborative supply chain. Since we supply and assemble electronic components for large RosettaNet-compliant companies like Infineon Technologies, it is imperative that we conform to their business processes."

The installation of RosettaNet's standards is expected to enable automated information exchange between Infineon and PSi's respective enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
