Raychem Circuit Protection, a unit of Tyco Electronics, has announced that its SMD family of PolySwitch resettable devices is now available as lead-free components.
Designed for use in portable electronics, computers and peripherals, telecom equipment and automotive applications, the SMD product family line includes nanoSMD, microSMD, and miniSMD C-design devices. Characterized by their small size and wide range of current and voltage options, the devices help provide resettable circuit protection in applications where conserving board space is a critical design factor.
The lead-free SMD devices are capable of withstanding the higher melting temperatures associated with lead solder alternatives, and can also be installed using current reflow profiles.
Available in tape and reel packages, the devices are priced between 15 cents and 25 cents. Lead time is 4 weeks. |
