Advanced Analogic Technologies Inc. has released the AAT1150, a synchronous buck dc-dc converter that delivers an output current of 1A. Operating at 1MHz switching frequency and using synchronous rectification, the step-down switching converter combines small size and low ripple current with full internal compensation to minimize requirements for external components.

The AAT1150 supports fixed inputs from 2.7V to 5V with outputs fixed or adjustable from 1V to 4.2V depending on options. The device features an on-resistance of 110 milliohms MOSFET switches, efficiency up to 95 percent, and current-limit and over-temperature protection circuits.

Offered in an 8-lead MSOP package, the product is rated over the extended industrial temperature range of -40C to 85C, and is priced at $1.75 for 1,000-piece quantities.
