Tyco, Samtec ink source supplier agreement

Tyco Electronics, a passive electronic components manufacturer, and Samtec Inc., a manufacturer of PCB level interconnects and flex circuitry, have entered into a licensing agreement. The agreement establishes Tyco as a second source supplier to Samtec's Q Series by selling and/or manufacturing of these products.

Samtec's Q Series connector system is designed to minimize crosstalk and optimize capacitance and inductance. Samtec's Q Strip interconnects are rated at up to 2.33GHz while the Q Pairs interconnects are rated at up to 10GHz.
