The Xena 50 single output converter from Ascom Co. utilizes planar magnetics and patented multilayer packaging techniques that make it suitable for use in high-density applications. The product's open frame construction is optimized for convection cooling over a wide operational ambient temperature range.

With an output current of 30A at 1.5V, the converter features overcurrent, overtemperature, and overvoltage protection, and is offered in 8.5mm profile. The product requires no heatsink and no minimum load, and is available in SMD and through-hole versions.
