Sharp to develop recycling technologies for LCD products

Sharp Corp. has announced a recycling project for LCD application products such as LCD TV receivers. The company claims to be the first in the industry to begin developing technologies to facilitate recycling of LCD products and related materials. Implementation of the program is slated to begin in fiscal 2005.

In relation to this, Sharp has created a cross-divisional team made up of members from business groups and manufacturing groups in charge of LCD products and members of the Environmental Protection Group.
