Toshiba America Electronic Components Inc. (TAEC) has announced that all its NAND Flash memory TSOP devices are available in lead-free packaging. Developed by Toshiba Corp., the NAND Flash devices range in densities from 64Mb to 2Gb, and feature high-speed programming capability, high-speed erasing, small block size, and low cost.

Suitable for solid state disk drives, digital cameras, audio appliances, and set-top boxes, the lead-free NAND Flash devices are available in surface-mount packages with tin-silver or tin-copper lead-free plating that meet or exceed the requirements of the joint IPC/JEDEC standard J-STD-020B.
