Taiwan foundry to provide contract assembly services to RFWaves

Taiwan-based SAW vendor Tai-saw Technology Co. Ltd (TST) and RFWaves Ltd, a fabless semiconductor company, have entered into an agreement for the mass production of RF chipsets. Under the terms of the agreement, TST will provide RFWaves with foundry services, including wafer production, assembly and testing.

"We see great market interest for high-quality, low-cost wireless chipsets like those offered by RFWaves," said Allen C.H. Wu, SAW business general manager, TST. "Using TST's advanced manufacturing capabilities, RFWaves chipsets will gain even more acceptance and penetration into the market as we increase production."
