Toshiba licenses Barcelona analog synthesis solutions

Toshiba Corp. has licensed Barcelona Design Inc.'s analog synthesis solutions for use on its 0.13?m and 90nm processes. The license agreement includes Barcelona's Miró PLL circuit model and process models.

"Barcelona's analog synthesis solution helps support our demand for custom SoC designs integrating several PLLs that must be custom designed each time to optimize performance. The need for an analog synthesis solution becomes even more critical for our current 90nm processes to achieve higher levels of integration and lower costs," said Richard Tobias, VP, ASIC and foundry business unit, System LSI Group, Toshiba America Electronic Components Inc.
