Cypress Semiconductor Corp. has announced that it will support the new development platforms for Intel network processors based on the PICMG 3.x ATCA standard. Intel's latest development environment includes development platforms and enhanced software applications and services for the Intel IXP2800, IXP2850, and IXP2400 network processors.

Cypress has ensured interoperability not only with Intel network processors but also with the LA-1 standard from the Network Processor Forum. Cypress will provide a complete software development kit (SDK) and hardware platform, which functions seamlessly with the Intel IXP2400, IXP2800, and IXP2850 network processors and supports the Intel IXA Software Development Kit Release 3.1.
