Mykrolis Corp. has signed an exclusive worldwide distribution agreement with Bentec Scientific, a company specializing in the design and manufacture of Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) products used in the manufacturing of semiconductors, flat panel displays, pharmaceuticals, and rigid hard disks. Under the agreement, Mykrolis will market Bentec brush roller solutions used in post-CMP (chemical mechanical planarization) cleaning.

The Bentec Scientific post-CMP clean product features Mykrolis's revolutionary technology, which is based on proprietary and patent-pending polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) polymer technology. This technology provides customers with consistency and ease-of-use, contributing to higher throughput, a critical measure of fab performance.

"This strategic agreement will benefit Mykrolis by expanding our consumable product line and our exposure to the growing CMP market. This will also enable us to leverage our extensive worldwide sales and support organization, particularly in Japan and Asia. Initial market acceptance of the technology has been very positive, and we are actively involved with several evaluations at major fabs," said Jean-Marc Pandraud, president and COO of Mykrolis.
