Mango DSP solution provides over 100BOPS

Mango DSP Ltd has introduced the Harrier board, a long cPCI video processing board based on Texas Instrument's C6415 DSP and Altera Stratix FPGA. The board supports 15 DSPs and 5 FPGAs providing over 100BOPS as well as nearly 2GB on board memory. The product is built in five clusters each containing an FPGA and four DSPs.

The company claims that the Harrier is the first board to support MangoLink, the company's high-speed communication technology. Through MangoLink, all DSPs on board can communicate at up to 1GBps constant throughput. Each board supports four MangoLink data ports each allowing up to 850MBps of digital I/O.

Suitable for demanding DSP applications such as medical imaging, high resolution optical inspection and 3G basestations as well as advanced military applications, the device is designed with 11 c6415 processors running at 500MHz to 720MHz, and is compatible with Windows 2000/XP, Linux, and VxWorks.
