Virage Logic strengthens customer support in Japan

Virage Logic Corp., a provider of semiconductor Intellectual Property (IP) platforms, announced that it is strengthening its support for the Japanese electronics market with the establishment of a dedicated customer support function based in Japan. The addition of a dedicated customer support function builds on the direct sales office - Virage Logic K.K., the company originally opened in Japan in 2002.

"Virage Logic is working closely with major IDMs in Japan to facilitate the integration of the company's IP platforms into their designs, drive their designs to market more rapidly and help them gain a competitive edge," Richard N. Lanham, director of Virage's Japan business. "The growth of Japan's business is essential to Virage Logic's overall business goals and is expected to eventually account for 20 percent of the company's business revenues."
