Asahi Kasei Microsystems Co. Ltd (AKM) has introduced the AK5385A, an enhanced 24-bit 2-channel ADC that supports sample rates from 8KHz to 216KHz. Designed for professional and consumer electronics applications that require a high degree of resolution, including DVD-A and professional 192KHz recording formats, the device features fully differential inputs and an enhanced dual-bit architecture that provides a 114dB SNR.
The AK5385A is also pin-compatible with the company's current lineup of ADCs, including the AK5394A. In all, there are five pin-compatible parts in the A/D family, allowing designers to use the AK5385A and easily change price and performance by using a pin-compatible alternative.
Available in a 28-pin VSOP package and 28-pin SOP, the device uses a 5V analog supply, and can use a 3V to 5.25V digital supply. |
