Supertex Inc. has released the HV238, a 220V sixteen-channel, high voltage analog switch IC with built-in bleed resistors. Designed for use in applications requiring high voltage switching, the product's outputs are configured as two sets of eight single pole, single throw (SPST) analog switches that features a switch resistance of 22 ohms.

A 35K ohm bleed resistor is integrated on-chip and connects to each output to a common ground to ensure the voltage on each piezoelectric transducer is kept at zero to prevent random movements of un-energized transducers.

The IC combines high voltage bilateral DMOS switches and low power CMOS logic that provides control of high voltage analog signals. It has a -50dB off isolation and a -45dB crosstalk that enhances image clarity due to the reduced inter-channel interference.

Unit price for the HV238FG in 48-pin TQFP package is $31.53 in 1K piece quantities. Lead time is 4 to 5 weeks.
