Wintegra Inc. has introduced its WinPath WIN747 and WIN740 access packet processors that share the same software set as other members of the WinPath family, while targeting systems requiring less performance than the WIN787 device. The WIN747, with its dual integrated GbE ports and on-board MIPS core, is designed to suit next-generation IP DSLAMs.

The WIN74x family is enabling a generation of Access Class devices, such as DSLAMs and IADs, to employ GbE uplinks or requiring on-board support of numerous TDM channels.

Both devices features 2 RISC datapath engines, 16 serial ports with each providing T1/E1 and T3/E3 connectivity, and multi-PHY support (127 on each UTOPIA port). The products also integrate two 10/100/1,000Mb Ethernet MACs, and a 5Kc MIPS control plane version (WIN747) or a non-MIPS version (WIN740).
