Industries Int. Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of telephones, telecommunications-related technology and lithium batteries in China, announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Li Sun Power, has been granted authorization to work with the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) and has received initial orders for its Li-ion batteries. According to Li Sun Power, this contract represents the first of many new contracts for the company's Li-ion batteries currently in the pipeline.

"With the use of Li-ion batteries growing in both consumer and military applications, our new relationship with the PLA opens the door to a new and potentially growing source of revenues," said Tsui Kit, chairman and CEO of Industries Int. "The PLA has very thorough standards and we view this new relationship as an endorsement of our product quality and our ability to meet growing demand. We believe that our relationship with the Chinese military will continue to grow as we simultaneously penetrate the multi-billion dollar Chinese consumer market for Li-ion batteries."
