Samsung to integrate Genesis controllers on latest projector

Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd has selected Genesis Microchip Inc.'s gm1601 display controller and FLI2310 video format converter. Genesis' controllers will be used in Samsung's latest DLP home theater projector, model SP-H700AE.

"Samsung's new DLP Home Theater Projector leverages the combination of Genesis' image processing and Faroudja's video algorithms to recreate the cinematic experience in the home," said Chang-Wan Hong, VP of digital TV R&D for Samsung. "These technologies enable the SP-H700AE to display images that are detailed, accurate and free of video artifacts and jagged edges."
