BenQ has chosen Cambridge Silicon Radio (CSR) to supply the company with Bluetooth wireless technology for its latest mobile handset, the P30. The P30 is BenQ's first Smartphone and uses the Symbian OS.

To ensure smooth connectivity to a full range of Bluetooth devices, the BenQ's P30 Bluetooth software supports all the necessary profiles including dial up networking, headset, handsfree, and object push.

Harrison Chang, senior associated vice president of BenQ, Networking and Communications Business Group, commented, "Bluetooth provides the perfect fit into our mutlimedia handsets. CSR made it easy for us to implement its Bluetooth silicon by offering its BlueCore which delivers superior power management and high levels of integration with the Symbian OS. These were prime concerns in developing our first Smartphone which includes so many multimedia features."
