The Cat.6 patch cables from Neostar Technology Co. Ltd are designed to handle up to 1Gb data transfer rate, and are fully backward compatible with Cat.5 and Cat.5e types. Designed to connect computers to cable modems, DSL modems, network hubs or network switches, the cable assemblies have two 2 connectors (RJ-45 male), 100Base-T compatibility, and have ratings of 50?inches gold-plated connectors.

Further, the Cat.6 UTP and the Cat.6 STP offerings have different mold tooling designs, and the Cat.6 STP has short plug assembly designs.
