Sanmina-SCI Corp. announced its PCB facility in San Jose, California, has successfully completed certification assessment by the Defense Supply Center, Columbus, OH (DSCC). Sanminas San Jose facility specializes in QTA through volume manufacturing of bare PCBs and large form factor backpanels, with layer counts up to 60 and thickness up to 0.450 inches.

As a result of the certification, the facility is qualified to manufacture PCBs, Type 3, GF (Epoxy-FR4), and GI (Polyimide), per Military Specification Mil-PRF-55110F. This qualification is expected to enable Sanmina's quick-turn-around prototype (QTA) and volume capabilities to be accessed by Defense and Aerospace customers.

The DSCC is one of the largest suppliers of weapon systems spare parts and end items for the Department of Defense (DoD). To be certified, products must be manufactured in the U.S. and pass a stringent laboratory analysis.
