Mobility Electronics Inc., a provider of portable computing solutions for the mobile electronics device users, has acquired certain assets from InVision Software and InVision Wireless (InVision), a provider of software solutions for OEM appliances, for about 70,000 shares of Mobility Electronics common stock, plus additional consideration based on future performance. The assets acquired represent the hardware component of InVision's handheld computing device business.

InVision provides software and hardware design solutions for handheld, mobile, and data capture devices. InVision's hardware business utilizes Mobility's handheld cradles, combined with InVision's value-added software, to cater to the "ruggedized" data capture market with location-independent data synchronization, as well as access to files, LANs, and the Internet. In the past, InVision has served as an OEM distributor for Mobility's USB and Ethernet PDA cradles to Symbol Technologies and other customers.

In addition to the acquisition of the hardware business, InVision Software will provide Mobility Electronics with a license and ongoing support to its eConnect software program. These programs significantly expand Mobility's capabilities and enable users to automatically configure the PDA and connect to the corporate network.
