Xicor Inc. has released the X60008EIS8-50, its latest addition to its family of precision voltage references manufactured using the company's Floating Gate Analog (FGA) technology.

Priced at 99 cents for 1,000-piece quantities, the X60008EIS8-50 allows designers to improve their system performance while lowering the overall system cost. Since the device is pin-compatible with many of the industry voltage references, no board layout changes are required.

It features a reference voltage of 5V, absolute initial accuracy of 0.1 percent, temperature coefficient of 20ppm/C, long term stability of 10ppm/1,000h, power supply current of 500nA, and sink/source current of 10mA. Operating temperature range is from -40C to 85C.
