Crystek VCOs feature -115dBc/Hz phase noise

Crystek Crystals Corp. has launched a line of voltage controlled oscillators (VCOs) designed for use in applications such as digital radio equipment, fixed wireless access, satellite communications systems, base stations, personal communications systems, portable radios, and test instruments.

Initially comprised of three industry standard packages, the VCOs feature low harmonic suppression and phase noise of -115dBc/Hz.

The CVCO55 VCO has a frequency range of 50MHz to 3,500MHz, measures 12.70-by-12.70-by-3.60mm and is priced between $11 to $18. Featuring a 50MHz to 2,000MHz frequency range, the CVCO45 device measures 10.16-by-12.60-by-4.20mm and is available for $7.50 to $10. The CVCO33 features a frequency range of 50MHz to 2,000MHz and dimension of 7.62-by-7.62-by-2mm. It is priced at $8 $11. All prices are for 1,000-unit quantities.

Wide bandwidths (doubling of frequency) and extended operating temperatures of -40°C to 85°C are also available.
