Sirenza Microdevices Inc. has released the SXA-3318B gallium arsenide (GaAs) hetero-junction bipolar transistor (HBT) MMIC.

Covering the 400MHz to 2,500MHz frequency range, the active bias, dual input/output product is a high linearity amplifier, providing 47dBm of OIP3 and 28dBm of P1dB at 1.9GHz when combined in a balanced configuration.

Designed for low-cost, high-performance driver stages used in wireless infrastructure applications, the device is offered in a low-cost, surface-mount ESOP-8 plastic package.
