SynQor has opened its new Asia-Pacific regional headquarters office in Singapore in a bid to address the growing demand for dc-dc converters across the Pacific Rim region. The Singapore office is anticipated to manage and coordinate all of the company's sales and marketing activities across Asia and also provide frontline customer support.

According to the company, it is currently preparing for a number of new product announcements this year, and will continue to build its infrastructure to support increasing demand for its high-efficiency, no heatsink dc-dc converters.

"The Pacific Rim offers some very attractive growth areas for SynQor in the telecommunications, datacommunications, servers and high-end medical equipment sectors," said Joey Lai, APAC Director. "Asia is home to the most rapidly advancing infrastructures to support the fast uptake of wireless and broadband communications, and SynQor's power conversion products based on synchronous rectification technology are ideal for equipment supporting high-end telecommunication, networking and storage systems," he added.
