ISSI SRAM suits high speed networking, telecom apps

Integrated Silicon Solution Inc. (ISSI) has announced a 300Mhz version of its 18Mb No-Wait and standard synchronous SRAMs that is targeted for use in high speed networking and telecommunication applications.

Fabricated using 0.13? technology, the device provides a 20 percent performance improvement to the top speed in the 18Mb family. Offered as a No-Wait Synchronous SRAM or a standard synchronous SRAM, it is available in both 2.5V and 3.3V operating voltage ranges and feature JTAG boundary scan.

The 300Mhz speed grade is available in the commercial temperature range. For industrial temperature applications, speeds up to 250Mhz are available. The SRAM is priced at $35 in 10,000-piece quantities. Standard synchronous devices are offered in a 165-pin BGA JEDEC standard package, while No-Wait devices also include the 209 BGA JEDEC standard package.
