TLSI Inc., a subsidiary of Telephonics Corp., has launched the T98552 low phase noise, PLL clock multiplier IC that is targeted as a replacement for high-cost crystal oscillators (XOs) in the data communications and HDTV markets.
Designed to accept an input from a standard, fundamental 10MHz to 27MHz quartz crystal or clock input, the device provides a selectable output frequency in the range from 25MHz to 200MHz. It also provides multiply ratios of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8, making it flexible for a wide range of applications.
The T98552 features a phase noise of 120dBC/Hz at 10KHz offset from the center frequency, absolute jitter of 50ps at 100MHz, and operating current (no load) of 10mA. Offered in the industry standard 16-pin, narrow body SOIC that measures 3.9-by-9.9-by-1.35mm, the product is priced at $1.25 in 10,000-pieces quantities. It is also available in die form shipped in waffle packs. |
