Tyco tool simplifies Cat.6 jack termination

Tyco Electronics has introduced its Amp Netconnect SL series of jack termination tool that simplifies the termination process for Cat.6 jacks.

The tool terminates and cuts all 8 conductors at once, allowing for quick and easy terminations in about half the time of a punch-down tool. It also simplifies the lacing process and speeds up terminations, producing consistent terminations each time while maintaining pair twist. Requiring fewer repetitions and less pressure to effectuate terminations, the product can reduce the hand fatigue technicians can experience using traditional tools.

The SL series also works with Cat.3, Cat.5e and Cat.6 SL series jacks.
