SIPA approves investment petitions

The Science-Based Industrial Park Administration has approved the petition of Hermes Microvision Inc., Accuway Machinery Co. Ltd, Advanced Bearing Mfg Co. Ltd, OCTTEL Communication Co. Ltd, Syratek Corp. to establish their manufacturing plants in various industrial parks in Taiwan.

Hermes Microvision will construct its plant at the Science-based Industrial Park in Hsinchu. It will make E-beam inspection tools for semiconductor wafer fabs. The tools are expected to feature a maximum scanning area of 600?m-by-600?m and a maximum depth of 0.25?m.

Accuway Machinery, Advanced Bearing and OCTTEL will build their factories at the Science-based Industrial Park in Taichung. Accuway will make molders, testing and packaging equipment for semiconductor companies; Advanced Bearing will produce bearings; while OCTTEL will create gateways.

Meanwhile, Syratek and Advanced Optics are eyeing facilities at the Science-based Industrial Park in Tainan. Syratek will manufacture hexagonal voron nitride to be used in the electronics and semiconductor industries. On the other hand, Advanced Optics will make piezoelectric transformers.
