Tyco tool features 5,000lb crimp force

Based on Tyco Electronics' Model G Terminator, the AMP-3K/40 and AMP-5K/40 products are designed for customers that require the increased output and quality of a semiautomatic machine at a competitive price.

By incorporating the most commonly requested features as standard and offering a long list of optional equipment, the machines offer flexibility to meet the specific needs of various applications.

The AMP-3K/40 and AMP-5K/40 use dc motors with gearbox drives, which results in a small-footprint design that is fast and quiet. Cycle time is <0.400s with an operation sound level of 76dBa.

Offering features such as tool-less precision crimp height adjust, CQM capability, batch counter and a work light as options, the devices can be tailored to the specific application requirements without inflating the price for unwanted features. It also accepts all Heavy-Duty Mini style applicators.

The AMP-5K/40 will have a crimp force of 5,000lb but will not have all the extra features of the current G Terminator.
