Circuit Semantics, Legend ink OEM agreement

Circuit Semantics Inc. (CSI), a provider of modeling and characterization software for IC design, and Legend Design Technology Inc., a supplier of EDA software for circuit simulation and memory IP characterization, have signed an OEM agreement. Under the terms of the agreement CSI has integrated Legend's MSIM circuit simulator with its DynaCell and DynaCore circuit characterization software products.

The MSIM circuit simulator includes a built-in RC reduction system and is optimized for memory and standard cell characterization. The MSIM is expected to enable CSI to provide customers with a complete circuit characterization flow that includes simulation and RC reduction, as well as circuit characterization and timing sign-off.

"We chose the MSIM simulator because of its accuracy, convergence and speed," said Ewald Detjens, Circuit Semantics' CEO. "As a result of the synergy between our companies and our customers' requests, we worked quickly to successfully integrate Legend's MSIM circuit simulator with our characterization products."
