Xceive Corp., a RF-to-baseband receiver IC startup, has raised $10.5 million in series B funding, led by BA Venture Partners. The funding will be used to expand the company's customer base and achieve volume production.

"This round of financing will enable us to bring to market the world's first fully integrated RF-to-baseband receiver specifically targeting a wide range of consumer electronics applications," said Jordan Du Val, Xceive's VP of sales and marketing.

"The migration of television broadcasters and televisions from analog to digital signals, combined with the rapid adoption of flat-screen TVs worldwide, creates a burgeoning market for Xceive's technology," said Jim Jones, director at BA Venture Partners. "Xceive not only addresses new demands placed on TV digital tuners, but also facilitates the incorporation of live television into a host of consumer devices, significantly expanding the company's addressable market."
