Wintegra Inc. has released its access packet processors that incorporate integrated Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) ports, 16 serial ports, and additional PHYs supported on the Utopia ports.

The WIN787 and WIN747, when coupled with the company's production-quality software, provide the fundamental building blocks for a wide range of products such as DSLAMs, Optical IADs, Multiservice line cards, Wireless Infrastructure systems, and Voice-over-Packet designs.

The processors feature 2 integrated Gigabit Ethernet MACs, and 16 serial ports that each provides T1/E1 and T3/E3 connectivity. Support of additional Utopia PHYs, up to 127 devices on each port is also offered.

The devices offer higher speeds and lower power than the original WinPath family members providing additional data handling capabilities and power savings for power-sensitive designs. Both devices include versions with a MIPS 5Kc core for Control Path operations, but versions can be ordered without the MIPS to be used in conjunction with an external host processor.
