Asahi Kasei Microsystems Co. Ltd (AKM) has released its AK4359 24-bit audio D/A converter (DAC) that comes with single ended analog outputs.

The 8-channel, 192kHz DAC features a de-emphasis filter, soft mute circuit, zero detect pin and channel independent digital ATT, and a TDM audio interface for a simplified DSP interface. It's microcomputer interface is compliant with both three-wire and I2C interfaces, and the pin configuration is compatible with the 2-channel AK4384 DAC, enabling the same board layout.

Targeted for use in DVD/DVD-audio, AV amplifiers, car audio systems and electronic musical instruments, the AK4359 is offered in a 30-pin VSOP package. Evaluation boards and samples are also available.
