Crystek VCO exhibits 5±3dBm output power

Crystek Crystals Corp. has introduced a line of high-performance voltage controlled oscillators (VCOs) that generates frequencies between 2.974GHz and 3.274GHz with a control voltage range of 0.5Vdc to 4.5Vdc.

Offered in a 1.27-by-1.27cm standard SMD package, the CVCO55BE-2974-3274 VCO has low phase noise performance of -70dBc/Hz at 1kHz offset, -98dBc/Hz at 10kHz offset, -120dBc/Hz at 100kHz offset and -155dBc/Hz at 10MHz offset. An input supply voltage of 5Vdc consuming 17mA of current is required.

The product exhibits an output power of 5±3dBm into a 50-ohm load, and offers extended temperature operating range of -40°C to 85°C, with exceptional linearity over frequency and temperature range. Second harmonic suppression is better than -20dBc, while supply pushing is 1.5MHz/V maximum.
