NEC access router achieves 100Mbps throughput

NEC Corp. has begun marketing the Univerge IX2015 high-speed access router that implements hardware-based IPsec for packet-by-packet encryption and authentication.

Designed for the main router application for small to mid-scale companies, the device achieves a maximum throughput of 100Mbps and an IPsec throughput of 95Mbps.

The L2QoS-ready router measures 210-by-297-by-43mm and weighs 1.8kg. It is priced at $1,065.
