With IC design revenues reaching unimaginable proportions in China, many foreign EDA companies are looking forward to getting a piece of the action. One such company is Malaysia-based Exsedia. In this year's IIC-China Conference, Exsedia launched its new product offering, Nimbus, which the company claims can implement algorithm as a hardware.

Senior Marketing Manager Yang Huaming, said, "The tool can deliver efficient modeling for control links and data links. Further, it has a HDL design with optimal architecture. It can also generate high-quality design documents for managing complicated HDL designs, and speed up design closure."

With many engineers sharing affirmative nods on the Nimbus offering, it is likely that Exsedia has started on the right foot when it comes to penetrating the Chinese EDA market.
