Intended for AV receivers and pre/main amplifiers in high grade audio equipment, the new series of speaker terminals from SMK Corp. contributes to a higher sound quality.

The company developed the EX series of terminals as a response to the rising demand for DVD and home theater applications. It is designed to accept monster cables representative of high quality thick cables which most audiophiles accept. This allows easy connection of thick high quality sound cable by relocation of the rotating pivot of screws (which was located at the center of cable insertion inlet) to the connecting metalwork end.

The LTS0415-xx01F, LTS0615-xx01F and LTS0815-xx01F devices feature a 30 milliohms contact resistance, 100 megohms insulation resistance at 500Vdc, and 500Vac withstanding voltage for 1 min.

It features a connecting metal base that is gold plated on the brass base material, transparent housing, gold-plated cosmetic ring, and a Pb-free solder plating on brass materials for internal connection terminals. Customizable caps are also offered.

Sample price is $27.51.
